candle safety

Human error is responsible for nearly 800 house fires in Canada every year. All of these are preventable, which is why it's important to know how to protect yourself.

candle care

Trim your wick

Whether you've bought a wooden wick or regular wick candle, it is extremely important to trim your wicks to 1/4".

For a wooden wick it will help in re-lighting the candle, and for a regular cotton wick it will ensure you maintain optimal burn time.

the first burn

Soy wax candles have a "memory". It is extremely important to burn your candle for at least 2 hours (but not more than 4). This is especially important for the first burn in order to reach a full melt pool every time.

Keep away

Keep pets and children away from your burning candles. You should also keep your candles away from drafts and anything flammable.
